Prolonged yearning

I'm ten days late, forgive me. Hahaha! Love wasn't in the air when February started. I was under pure brain and endurance torture because I was taking my preliminary exams that day. Malamang, pagod pa rin ang humahabol sa akin. Minsan naaabutan, minsan nakatatakas. Pero okay lang, buhay pa naman ako, sa awa ng Diyos. 
So, most people dub this month as the love month. Expecting a lot of babies to be born around November to December. Hahaha! Kidding aside, I don't have a Valentine's date and I don't care. Sa Valentine's day lang ba kailangan maging special ang pagtrato sa mahal mo? That's the irritating notion that Valentine's day is sending out to people. I'm not bitter (maybe just a little) or anything but seriously, having a very grand show of affection on that date? Not cool, imo. And proposing on that day? A very overrated date. Okay lang sana kung ibang buwan pero February? Marami mga magkasintahan ang makasasabay niyo tuwing anniversary niyo. But on the brighter side, it's more cool since most establishments have discounts when you plan to treat your boyfriend/girlfriend out on a date or if you plan to give them a gift on that day.
But to tell you the truth, my past relationship's anniversary will be this coming February 18th. I really avoided the 14th because it really is an overrated date. Hahaha! Pati sa date, OC ako. Given the situation, if ever a guy courts me again, sure, he can make arrangements and surprises on that day but he shouldn't expect a yes from me. It may come a week/month after, it depends. ;) Basta wag lang talaga February 14. I don't hate the date, I just don't want many people appreciating the special day like I do.
Anyway, my mind is still focused in my studies. I'll change my priority and be more open after this treacherous school year ends. And I can totally proclaim to myself that I have endured one of the hardest parts in my life.
Kaya kahit wala akong ka-date or whatever sa February 14, a very lively and love-filled February to all of us. I love my family, friends and all of the people that made a difference in my life. Don't worry, I did change but I made sure that I will still be able to accommodate you when you mostly need it. Forgive me if you think I can't. I had to adjust to life's norms too. For those who are in a relationship, make sure your special one will always feel loved even though it's not February 14. Again, Happy Valentine's Day!
